Labnotes-ELN

In addition to the well-established form-based Labnotes, there is a new product which acts as a true ELN.  The following demonstration shows the flexibility and ease of use of Labnotes-ELN.  This is fully integratable with “traditional” Labnotes.

Form Building

Modification of existing forms or creation of new forms is extremely simple using the tools available in the Form Generator module of Labnotes. The following demonstration shows an example of the ease with which a new form can be created and tested, as well as illustrating the in-built version control functionality.

Pipette Calibration

Routine calibration of equipment can be easily accommodated within Labnotes. The following demonstration uses the calibration of a pipette to illustrate the ways in which data can be linked within the software. It also demonstrates the incorporation of validated calculations and the way in which Labnotes ensures that expired assets of any kind (in this case equipment) are highlighted.

Scheduling

A simple scheduling view enables procedures to be planned and reviewed with ease. Any missed procedures are clearly highlighted, so appropriate action can be taken. The schedule is fully filterable, e.g. according to individual users, or user groups.

Archiving

Labnotes archives to human readable xml format, meaning that there is no requirement to possess Labnotes to view data created within the software.  This makes it simple to send data to someone who does not have the software for example.

Stock Solution Preparation

Preparation of reagents, stock solutions, working solutions, etc can easily be performed using Labnotes.  The following demonstration uses the preparation of a primary stock solution to illustrate the ways in which data can be linked within the software.
